DESCRIPTION
Whether you are a serious Olympic Trap shooter preparing for your next major competition, or a best man looking for a fun stag do activity, South Wales 2000, 30 minutes north-east of Cardiff, has it all.
This Premier Plus ground has almost every discipline imaginable, from Double Trap and ABT to English Sporting and FITASC. The entire site is designed to be accessible to all too, with concreted pathways to each and every stand, all of which are covered to protect against the ever-changeable South Wales weather.
Thanks to a combination of Promatic traps and a Progetti electronic system, many of the traps can be fired acoustically, allowing experienced shooters to test their skills solo. Of course, South Wales 2000 is equally welcoming to newcomers, or those looking to try something new. Tuition available for individuals and groups across all of the disciplines on offer.
South Wales 2000’s impressive array of targets spread over numerous disciplines allows it to host a wide variety of competitive events. Every month visitors can look forward to registered competitions, national and county team selection shoots, majors like the Olympic Skeet Welsh Grand Prix and even a number of special events, like its Wales vs The British Army Skeet competition.
South Wales 2000 is a large and truly professional shooting ground that regularly hosts practice sessions for national teams. This professionalism is complemented by the bubbly staff who work hard to make everyone feel welcome at one of the UK’s most complete clay shooting grounds.
