DESCRIPTION
There are few grounds in the UK that can match the technological prowess of
Thimbleby Shooting Ground, where state-of-the-art, wirelessly controlled traps cover the entire estate. These Sporting traps are designed to perform consistently, allowing the shooter to concentrate on breaking clays rather than spending their time wondering if the trap is up to the task.
All of the traps here are hooked up to Thimbleby’s Promatic Claymate system, too. So experienced shots can simply collect a clay card from reception on arrival, shoot to their heart’s content, then return to the clubhouse to square everything up at the end of the day.
Thimbleby’s recent renovations have transformed its clubhouse facilities. Inside, visitors can relax in the expansive sitting and dining area and enjoy light refreshments or a more substantial meal from the café. There’s also a brand-new gunroom and retail space where knowledgeable staff offer advice to those looking to make a purchase.
Thimbleby’s friendly staff are also able to assist shooters out on the grounds.
With fully qualified coaches offering everything from have-a-go sessions through to full-on, in-field game instruction and loading.
At Thimbleby Shooting Ground stateof-the-art technology sits alongside contemporary interior design to create a thoroughly modern shooting experience. By combining this with friendly, knowledgeable staff and the beautiful scenery that has made Yorkshire a fantastic place to shoot for years, Thimbleby seems to have struck a perfect balance and given us a glimpse of the bright future ahead for British shooting.
