Now that we’ve left the EU, will my European Firearms Pass (EFP) still be valid when I go shooting in France this winter?

David says: No. UK EFPs, other than those issued in Northern Ireland, ceased to be valid on 31 December 2020. Your shotgun certificate will cover you at the UK end when you leave and re-enter the country but you will need to tell the airline, ferry company or ‘Chunnel’ that you are carrying a firearm. You will also need to get a temporary ‘permis de chasse’ to cover your time in France. Ask your host to check if there are other requirements.
