A change of air

I like shooting rabbits with my PCP air rifle but I have heard there might be a ban on lead pellets for airguns. Is this true and how will it affect the lethality of an air rifle slug?

Ed says: This will happen in time, and for all types of shooting. So, with this in mind, it’s worth looking at the options. As soon as I run out of ammunition I intend to replace it with non-toxic shot. I have been using .17 HMR non-toxic and, though it is slightly more expensive, it kills as well as lead. The airgun market is huge so I would have thought manufacturers will be keen to produce the correct pellet for the job. I am having great results with a .30 air rifle at the moment and I am looking forward to seeing how non-toxic performs in it when the time comes.
