Waterproofing
Seeland claims its two-layer SEETEX membrane is wind- and waterproof up to 10,000mm of pressure and allows 10,000g of water to escape per 24 hours (per sqm). I never find these statistics very useful nor easy to test. However, in order to attempt to test the effectiveness of the fabric, I wore a pair of long johns under the trousers and thoroughly doused them with the pressure washer for approximately 30 seconds. I then moved around for 10 minutes to see if anything came through. I am glad to say that despite the trousers being completely soaked, underneath remained bone dry.
