That’s your Lotte
For such a small dog she certainly knows how to demand attention.
On a regular basis Lotte decides life is getting mundane and it is time to shake the household up. To this end she has developed tactics that usually come in stages. The first is to bring in her favourite antler and launch it around the room while giving me determined stares in between each launch. She is capable of Olympian throws in both height and distance but, thankfully, to date all the windows are still intact.
If that tactic doesn’t work she will leap on to my knee and interfere with the iPad – she seems to know exactly which keys to press to create the most chaos. And if that doesn’t work, she will dash off to the kitchen to return and zoom around the room with her bed in tow. Not just a blanket, but the whole bed. That always works, especially when she gives me the stare while tearing holes in it and liberally spreading the stuffing around the floor. On the bright side, if Alfie was still with us he could effortlessly trash a whole room.
