Ireland avoids blanket lead ban

New EU rules will ban the use of lead ammunition on and around ‘wetlands’ in 2023. Ireland was set for a total ban, however, after deciding to use a more limited definition of the term, the Irish government has declared that only 18.72% of the country could be classified as ‘wetlands’, negating a total ban.
