Sporting Gun

Travel has agency

If I buy a gun from someone too far away for convenient travel, can he post it?

David says: No – all transfers between private individuals must be done face to face. I would be wary of buying a gun from someone living at a distance without having seen them or it. You need to establish the vendor’s bona fides and its condition. If travel is too difficult, you can arrange for a registered firearms dealer (RFD) to make the transfer for you, but the vendor, not the RFD, must fill in your certificate. There will be costs and inconvenience that may outweigh the effort in collecting it personally.
