Pathways and car park are lightly gravelled. Most stands are on flat ground and the clubhouse is wheelchair accessible.

PRACTICE ROUNDS
A Claymate system is available across all sporting stands. Clays are 41p or 33p for members. Caddies from £10.
TUITION
Adult lessons from £85 per hour, excluding clays and cartridges.
MEMBERSHIP
Annual membership from £85 with reduced rates on practice sessions, tuition and events. Hire guns or store own for free.
DESCRIPTION
Tucked into a quiet corner of the North Wessex Downs, Barbury Shooting School offers a wide variety of clay-breaking action in a stunning location.
The Sporting course will be the primary draw for most. The course offers a diverse range of shooting layouts, with each section offering its own topography and challenge.
The deer park offers close-in targets for a rough shooting-style experience, while the top meadow flings targets high across panoramic views of the downs, ideal for those who enjoy driven grouse.
Simulated game is a speciality. Full days are offered at estates across the country and include everything you would expect – with guaranteed targets.
Instructors can assist shooters on sim days or provide lessons on site. While the entire sporting course operates on a Claymate-card system, for solo practice, lessons are advised for those hoping to climb the leader boards at one of Barbury’s competitive events.
Between rounds, shooters can relax in Barbury’s newly renovated clubhouse, enjoy refreshments from the cafe or browse the impressive collection of guns and accessories in the gun room.
Thanks to its topography, Barbury offers more target diversity than grounds twice the size. This diversity, combined with its modern clubhouse facilities, has positioned Barbury as one of the UK’s most exciting grounds.
