A draft Agreement has been reached to enable FEPA to grant Patronage to the LIBEREC 2022 exhibition, organised under the auspices of the Czech Philatelic Federation (SČF). The exhibition will take place from 13 to 16 October 2022 in the Wellness Centrum Babylon in the south of the City of Liberec, Czech Republic. The exhibition will have 1,200 frames, of which 200 will be allocated to the Polar Salon. The exhibition will include a FEPA Grand Prix Class as well as the Traditional, Postal History, Thematic, Open Philately, Picture Postcard, Youth Philately, Philatelic Literature and One-frame classes. Applications can also be made for two and three-frame exhibits. The Polar Salon will show exhibits of exceptional significance and the exhibition will also include a series of other events, including a display of race, early Czech stamps borrowed from the Postal Museum in Prague. The Organising Committee of the NEXOFIL and NEXONUM Awards, led by its President Sr Eugenio de Quesada, has announced in Madrid the winners of this year’s competition for the best stamps and coins in the world of 2020. Stamps were nominated from many countries and judged by an International Jury in eleven categories. The result of the competition for ‘Best Stamp in the World 2020’ was: Belgium ‘The Silence of Alzheimer’s’, with Norway’s ‘Killer Whale: Orcinus orca’ in second place and Finland ‘Art Awards 2020’ in third.
The IBRA Organising Team have recently published further details about the World Stamp Exhibition to be held in Essen, Germany from 25 to 28 May 2023. The exhibition will include a Grand Prix Club, Consilium Philatelicum and Schatzkammer as well as special displays on Gems of German Philately, Brustschilde and the German inflation of 1923 (marking its centenary). There will also be a range of dealers and auction houses from around the world, society tables and special stamps and cancellations for the occasion.
