Programme for Crawford Festival

The programme for this year’s Crawford Festival, which is being held 25 to 26 June at the Royal Philatelic Society London at 15 Abchurch Lane in the city, has been announced. This free two-day event of presentations and discussions on the theme of ‘Philatelic Auction Catalogues’ includes the following talks: ‘Stamp Auction Catalogues’ by Karl Louis and Jonas Hällström; ‘Famous Collectors and their Collections’ by John Jackson; ‘Collecting Auction Catalogues’ by James Podger; ‘HR Harmer London Auction House’ by David Beech; ‘Use of the RPSL Library Auction Catalogue Stock as a Resource for the Mulready Caricature’ by Richard Hobbs; ‘Oslo Filatelistklubb, auctions since 1895’ by Kjell Johansen; and ‘Sale Catalogues in the Global

Philatelic Library (GPL)’ by Steve Jarvis. Additionally, there will be an auction house discussion panel featuring Tom Fell and Josh Barber (Spink), Greg Spring (Cavendish), Constanze Dennis (Grosvenor) and Jonas Hällström (Global Philatelic Network).

The festival will end with the announcement of the winner of the Crawford Medal.
