Peter Pan weaves his magic on young stars

Star Courier (Surrey & Hants) - - FRONT PAGE -

YOUNGSTERS have staged their own version of the children’s classic Peter Pan.

Ten four to eight-year-olds performed the show on the last day of a week-long summer workshop, run by Perform at Church Crookham’s Zebon Copse Centre.

They learnt three original songs and a choreographed dance routine, and put together a show for family and friends last Friday.

Perform teacher Sam Love said: “All the children worked incredibly hard and added such enthusiasm and energy on stage. It was fantastic to see them shining with confidence.

“Perform is a different type of drama school. We use a unique mix of drama, dance and singing specially formulated to bring out every child’s true potential.”

Children are welcome to try a free Perform class, held at the centre in Danvers Drive on Mondays from 4–5pm and from 5–6pm and on Tuesdays from 3.45–4.45pm.

Showtime: Peter Pan stars (from left) Imogen, Oriana, Chelsea, Emily, Mollie and Nathaniel.
