Diwali symbolises the victory of knowledge over ignorance, light over darkness and good over evil.

Now in its sixth year, the FIC Diwali event continues to be a strong binding force, blending Indian culture of ‘ unity in diver- sity’ within the local community.

Cultural performances by children and adults yet again proved a highlight as they rocked the dance floor to the latest Bollywood numbers

More than 200 guests enjoyed mouthwatering Indian delicacies and a dazzling fireworks display at the event, which was sponsored by KDS, London and Virgo Financial Services Ltd.

A FIC spokesman said: “Based on its core values of betterment of communities, local culture amalgamation, togetherness and harmony, FIC continues with its efforts to help the local community and local businesses.

“Moving into next year, FIC will build on the success of the last six years to spread its core values and to contribute for the social cause locally and around the globe.”
