London North & South Western?

-

An LSWR luggage van has been moved from one side of the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre to the other - to make a suitably ‘period-looking’ combination with due-to-arrive LNWR 2-2-2 Cornwall. Restored in the Down side shed, the 1917-built fourwheel vehicle, No. 5025, is to be displayed in the former Oxford Rewley Road station behind the Francis Trevithick-designed locomotive, which is to go on loan to Quainton Road from the National Collection for two years. The LSWR van was chosen, says Quainton Railway Society Chairman Ben Jackson, because there is insufficient space to pair Cornwall with the two LNWR coaches already in the Rewley Road visitor centre.
