The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been granted planning permission to erect a carriage shed capable of storing up to 40 vehicles at Pickering. On March 1, Ryedale District Council gave its approval for the £4.16 million project, which will allow the NYMR to store its carriage fleet under cover for the first time.
