‘TERRIERS’ ON KESR MIXED TRAINS FOR ‘COLONEL STEPHENS 150’
A series of ‘Terrier’-hauled mixed trains will run at the Kent & East Sussex Railway this year to mark the 150th anniversary of Colonel Stephens’ birth. With the Terrier Trust’s No. 32678 in charge, the trains will leave Tenterden at 12.45pm and 2.30pm on Saturdays May 12, June 9, September 8 (in conjunction with the ‘HopFest’ weekend) and October 13. The first date is part of a ‘Colonel Stephens 150’ weekend on May 12/13. The Rother Valley Railway Supporters’ Association is also commemorating the anniversary with a model railway exhibition on May 26/27 at Robertsbridge Village Hall.
