BEYER PEACOCK RETURNS FOR FOXFIELD BASH
Beyer Peacock 0-4-0ST Works No. 1827 made it back into traffic in time to take part in the Foxfield Railway’s ‘Anything Goes’ event on September 22/23. The former Beyer Peacock works shunter has not run since last year, and has been undergoing repairs to its motion and saddle tank. The inside of the latter has been replaced with steel, but care has been taken to preserve as much of the original riveted iron tank as possible to maintain the antique character of the 1879-built machine.
