Jack will be a familiar name to many – as indeed will be some of the photographs in this calendar, which have already graced SR’s Gallery pages.

Showing his creative eye for a picture, every month offers something different; in addition to a couple of ‘standard’ front three-quarter shots, we also have silhouettes, pans, shed scenes and stations at night, and some even more unusual angles.

The only criticism is that the captions are very sparse, not giving the dates, locations or even identifying the locomotives in some cases. (TJ)
