Peter Gray, a prolific colour photographer of the Western

Region in the 1950s and 1960s, passed away in 2017 just short of his 90th birthday – but left most of his pictures to the Great Western Trust. This excellent calendar is the result, and a fitting tribute to him.

All the calendars received for review this year have high production values, but this one feels the highest quality, and the pictures have, generally, been reproduced well. The square format ensures ample space for dates, and the captions are very good. A delightful look back at the Indian summer of Western Region steam. (TJ)
