£25K grant for Broadway bridge
Broadway station footbridge is to be fitted with steps, thanks to a £25,000 grant from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway Trust to the GWSR plc.
Although Broadway reopened to passengers on March 30, trains only use Platform 1 and the former Henley-in-Arden footbridge is currently without steps.
The footbridge is expected to be ready for use in 2019, although Platform 2 still requires surfacing and is not yet ready for trains.
A member has made a further donation to the footbridge, while another grant of £23,000 from the trust will buy new windows for Toddington signal box.
