BRING ’EM HOME

With LNER ‘A4’ No. 4489

Dominion of Canada and ‘Terrier’ No. 54 Waddon now effectively in cold store and potentially being readied for disposal and possible repatriation to the UK, surely this opportunity to bring these locomotives home must be taken with both hands.

The locomotives are complete but will require full overhauls. Could these engines be placed in the care of the Severn Valley, Great Central, Nene Valley, North Yorkshire Moors or Bluebell railways, as they would need to be under cover prior to and after restoration?
