AND THERE’S MORE

-

As we tell the story of ‘4F’ No. 43924’s epic journey from Barry to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, watch some amazing archive footage of Midland 0-6-0s in action.

We present a series of clips of them, covering their days from 1940 in which one of them is still sporting a tall chimney at

Apsley, through the 1950s, with No. 44205 at Buxworth on a train of mineral wagons, and into the 1960s at Bristol Temple Meads, where No. 44264 takes over a railtour to Bath. Finally, two ‘4Fs’ are seen at Warmley station; No. 44118 running light and No. 44516 working hard on a long freight train.
