Stirling businesses will take a STEP into the spotlight with new awards

Up and coming businesses are set to be rewarded.

STEP, Stirling’s business support organisation, yesterday announced the launch of the STEP Business Awards to celebrate local innovation and business success.

Budding entrepreneurs from across the Stirling area are invited to enter the awards which this year will focus on new business ideas, recognising those who demonstrate innovation, business acumen and entrepreneurship.

Gordon Bell, chief executive at STEP said: “We are very proud to be launching the Awards and are hoping the prize funds will kick start the next big ideas from across the region. At STEP we are committed to encouraging innovation and supporting new ventures and we are delighted to be launching the awards.

“We have focused on one category this year but hope to build on this next year to include young and growing businesses from across Stirling.”

With a total of up to £1000 available in prize funds, the STEP Awards are now open for entries and are free to enter.

The deadline for applications is Friday August 7 at noon.

Winners will be announced at STEP’s IN BUSINESS event, which is sponsored by the Stirling Observer, on Friday August 28.
