Callous robbers terrified elderly victim

Pensioner was targeted by trio in his own home

A pensioner was left badly shaken after being robbed in his own home.

The incident occurred in the early hours on Saturday ( June 6) when a 69-year-old man disturbed two men and a woman breaking into his home in Main Street, East Plean.

The three suspects subsequent­ly threatened the 69-year-old and stole cash and jewellery from him.

Police are now appealing for informatio­n regarding this incident, and Detective Sergeant Scott Thomson said the victim was uninjured, but deeply upset at what had happened. “This was an appalling incident that has left the victim badly shaken,” he said.

“We are appealing for any informatio­n regarding this incident. Anyone who has any informatio­n, or saw anything suspicious on Saturday morning in the area, is asked to come forward.”

The first male suspect is described as a white man of around 22 years of age. He is around 5’ 5” in height, of a slim build, with dark hair, dark eyes and sharp facial features.

The second male suspect is described as a white man in his mid twenties. He is around 6’ in height, well built, with a round face. He has short sandy coloured hair, which is swept back.

The female suspect is a white woman with a medium build. She is around 5’ 5” in height and possibly goes by the name of Sonia.
