Shine bright and join Midnight Sparkle walk

-

Time is running out for women to register for one of the most atmospheric evenings in the Stirling calendar.

The Strathcarron Hospice Midnight Sparkle Walk takes place in Stirling on June 20, with walkers able to choose the five mile or 10 mile route.

The event is for ladies only and the minimum age for entrants is 14 (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

The walk, previously known as the Tiara Walk, begins at midnight, but there will also be a pre-walk Midsummer Shindig from 9.30pm.

There will also be entertainment to keep the walkers going, with The Future playing live and DJ Steve Courtney ramping up at the excitement on the night. Already limbering up for the event are Amy McRorie, wife of‘The Voice’ winner Stevie, and her team, who are among those hoping to add to the £2 million the annual walk has raised for Strathcarron since it was launched in 2009.

An estimated £110,000 was raised last year. The registration fee is £25 and walkers are expected to raise a minimum of £40 sponsorship.

Marshals are also needed to help out on the night, so anyone aged 16-plus who is interested in getting involved is being asked to get in touch.

To register for the walk go to www.strathcarronhospice.net or call the fundraising team on (01324) 826222.
