St Blane’s Church On Sunday, the morning service and Sunday school will be at 10am and tea and coffee will be served in the hall afterwards to which all are welcome. Creche provided during morning service. Evening service will be at 6.30pm in St Blane’s. Both services will be taken by Rev Gary Caldwell. The induction of Mr Caldwell to St Blane’s Church and Lecropt Kirk will take place at St Blane’s at 7pm tomorrow (Thursday). This will be followed by a social event to welcome Gary and his family to be held in the Victoria Hall. All welcome to attend the Induction and social event. On Friday, June 19, the BB is having a collection for Start Up Stirling at the cathedral hall from 5.30-8pm. It is important that, as demand increases over school holidays, they get well stocked up. St Mary’s Episcopal Church On Sunday there will be services at 8.30am and 10.30am. After the later service there will be coffee and tea in the hall. Music at Midday A piano recital in Dunblane Cathedral on Saturday, June 20 at noon by Bulgarian-born pianist Galya Kolarova including works by Chopin, Rachmanino­v and Stoyanov will be the first in a series of “Music at Midday” recitals, mainly on the magnificen­t Flentrop Organ. The series continues until August 15. After each recital , there is the opportunit­y to enjoy a light soup lunch in the hall. Children from P1-6 accompanie­d by a parent/guardian/carer are welcome so please apply early as places are limited. Top of the Town

Church of the Holy Rude Distinguis­hed mezzo-soprano Frances McCafferty from Dunfermlin­e, who has delighted the congregati­on many times in the past, will again be the guest soloist at Sunday’s service at 11.30am. It is hoped that there will be a large congregati­on to welcome Frances back to Stirling. The service will be conducted by Rev Alan Miller and will include time with the Young Church. Immediatel­y following the service, the short monthly service of prayers for Health and Wholeness takes place in the St Andrew’s Chapel and all are welcome to this too. Prayer cards for any requests for prayer are available in the chapel. Plans are already in place for a series of concerts entitled “Music on a Summer Evening” being organised by Director of Music Ian Boulter to help raise funds for the organ restoratio­n appeal. The first of these takes place on Saturday, July 18 at 7.30pm and will feature guest trumpet soloist Caroline Farron together with Mr Boulter at the organ. Other dates to note are July 25 and August 15. Tickets, which will include refreshmen­ts after the concert, are £10 or £6 (concession­s), with free entry for children, will be on sale at the door of the church.
