- Sports reporter

Doune Castle.6 Bearsden ........ 0 Doune closed in on the Premier League title with another convincing win in an impressive six-goal demolition of Bearsden.

Alan Inglis opened the scoring after eight minutes when he turned his marker and coolly shot under the keeper and into the far corner to make it 1-0.

They passed up several opportunities before making it 2-0 after 33 minutes.

The referee adjudged a defender had handled in the box and Sean Heaver calmly slammed home the spot kick.

It was 3-0 after 63 minutes when another handball offence in the box gave Doune their second spot kick of the day and again Heaver obliged.

The award incensed Bearsden’s defenders and their protests saw the referee issue two red cards before play resumed and Bearsden were down to nine men.

A minute late, Doune took advantage to make it 4-0.

Kenny Feaks moved the ball forward to Paul Statter who in turn fed the ball wide to Heaver.

And when his cross came in Chris Ogilvie calmly stroked the ball home into the far corner of the net from 16 yards.

Ogilvie scored a second and Doune’s fifth when his 20 yarder took a deflection to wrong-foot Wilson in the Bearsden goal.

Lukasz Duszynski rounded off the scoring in spectacular style in the closing minutes when he met Dylan McGowan’s corner to hook a curling volley high into the net.
