Facebook: Set-to menu and M&S star Andrea
In Friday’s paper, we told how a Bridge of Allan couple started an online row with the family-run Vecchia Bologna Italian restaurant after posting a negative review on Trip Advisor. The couple were upset a £15-a-head three-course menu wasn’t available to them, and walked out despite being offered an alternative at £17.50 a head.
Corinne Kay: Doesn’t this defeat the object of paying for a meal and having a nice time out instead of having to cook it at home and wash up? Does it really matter if that offer was not on? People’s intolerance can be so tiresome. Sigh.
We also revealed last week how Strathcarron Hospice has pulled the plug on its Stirling Midnight Tiara Walk, in favour of a“Walk n Rock”at the Kelpies.
Inge Hamblett: Not happy about this the midnight walk started in Stirling and should continue in Stirling if it’s in Falkirk I won’t be doing it as I have supported and done it three times in past so disappointed
And last Wednesday we interviewed Andrea Kerr about her memories of working 50 years at Stirling’s Marks & Spencer on Port Street. The now retired grandmother started as a 15-year-old Saturday girl in 1963. Our Facebook page was flooded with messages from wellwishers who have come to know and love her.
Claire Jamieson: Absolute fantastic woman! Can put a smile on absolute anyone’s face. I hope she has an amazing future to come x
Sean David Ryan: I had the pleasure of working with this lovely woman for two years whilst I was at uni. Never realised she had given so much as she is so humble! Well done x
