Trial match set for Hamilton Trophy
Stirling County West bowlers will swing into action on Sunday in preparation for the forthcoming Hamilton Trophy campaign.
The Dunblane green is the venue for a trial match against Perthshire, starting at 2pm.
The seven-week long series of Scottish County championship matches starts on May 14 with an away fixture against Argyll and Bute at Dunoon.
On May 21 County host Glasgow at Dunblane and on May 28 they will face Renfrewshire at the Victoria club in Paisley.
The local derby match against Clackmannan and Kinross goes ahead on June 4 at Bridge of Allan and on June 11, County West will play Lanarkshire at Kilsyth.
Ayrshire provide the opposition on June 18 at the Townholm green with the final qualifying match against Dumbartonshire being played at Doune Castle on June 25. Stirling Stirling bowlers hosted their annual match against Spittalmyre last Saturday and won by 31 shots.
