It’ll be all white on the night at operatic society Christmas show

Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society take to the Macrobert Arts Centre stage next week for a production of White Christmas The Musical – featuring one of the most famous songs ever written.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the Bing Crosby version of White Christmas – written by Irving Berlin and recorded in 1942 for the film Holiday Inn – is the biggest-selling single of all time, winning an Oscar before appearing again in 1954 in the film of the same name.

White Christmas, the musical, premiered in San Francisco in 2004 and is based on the famous movie. The score by Irving Berlin also features Blue Skies, Sisters, and Let Yourself Go.

Tickets are still available for the show which runs from Wednesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 22 at 7.30pm each night plus matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
