U18 Stirling secure top spot in the Conference

Stirling County’s Academy youth age-grade teams (Under-13s to U-18s) played their counterpar­ts from Ayr in the Scottish Rugby’s Club Youth President’s Conference (Tier 1).

The U-18s came out on top, 43-14, at Bridgehaug­h to clinch top spot and become champions of the Club President’s Conference U-18 League 2016/17.

Stirling County Girls Under-18 and Under-15 teams completed their very successful league programmes as joint winners of the inaugural Girls’Presidents Conference – Whole Club, sharing the honour with Biggar.

Stirling County’s Third XV beat Fife Southern 17-12 at Bridgehaug­h to stay top of BT Caledonia League Division 3 Midlands (South).

The Thirds’next league match is on Saturday December 3 away to near-neighbours Bannockbur­n – kick-off at Bluebellwo­od is 2pm.

Members are reminded that County’s annual Christmas Lunch will be held in the Bridgehaug­h Marquee on Saturday December 10 before the BT Premiershi­p match between County and Currie.
