Choir tunes up for 40th birthday
Strathendrick Singers are tuning up for their 40th anniversary concert.
Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana will be the main performance in Killearn Kirk on Sunday March 26 at 7pm.
However there will also be the world premiere of Aran Browning’s A Quiet Life, written specifically for the choir through a scheme called Adopt A Composer, run by Making Music in conjunction with BBC Radio 3. Radio 3 will be on hand to record the performance.

Puccini’s heartbreaking opera, Madama Butterfly, is screened live at the Vue and the Macrobert on Thursday, March 30 at 7.15pm, and on Sunday, April 2 at 2pm. It will be led by Royal Opera music director Antonio Pappano.
