Incredi-boule effort for healthy workforce award

-

A Drymen-based family business has been rewarded for supporting healthy activities in the workplace.

Fraser C Robb were awarded a Healthy Working Lives Award to recognise their work to promote healthy eating and arrange fitness challenges.

The firm, who sell, hire and service garden and agricultural equipment across Scotland, also had employees take part in heart start classes organised by charity partner Trossachs Search and Rescue where they learned some emergency life-saving skills.

Lorna Robb, director of Fraser C Robb, insists she is delighted with the accolade.

She said:“We have a lot of fun with these initiatives. Recently we started a training day with laughter yoga which got the day off to a fun start.

“The team is getting more and more competitive with our fitness challenges that have included cycling and walking. Next we’re moving on to boules.

“Beyond the fun there is of course a serious side. We had a health nurse visit in 2016 to carry out assessments as well as organising CPR training.

“There are so many benefits to having a happy and healthy workforce. I have been greatly assisted by John Fleming from our workshop team and David Steel from sales and marketing who have contributed great ideas to keep the health initiatives fresh and relevant.”
