Best animators to attend event
The work and talents of some of the area’s finest animators will be on show during a special event at the Engine Shed next week.
Animating Stirling is set to take place on Thursday August 24 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Among those who will be present are illustrator, designer and animator Garry Marshall who has directed commercials, short films and TV series’ and Indie Flynn – a social entrepreneur and CEO of Stirling-based autismfriendly creative organisation Square Peg.
Selina Wagner, awardwinning animation director whose latest film Spindrift is currently being premiered at festivals all around the world, will also be at the event along with Doune-based Will Adams who is director of Glasgow animation studio Once Were Farmers.
Members of the public who go along will be treated to a series of show reel clips with short introductions before learning more about local expertise in animation.
They will also be given a chance to meet the hardworking creative people who seldom get the opportunity to talk about their work.
The aim of the event is to give people the opportunity to learn more about the evolving world of animation and how new approaches and applications have a role to play in the future creative economy of Scotland.
