Driveris accused ofbeing eighttimes overlimit

A 34-year-old Cowie man appeared in court this week charged with being behind the wheel while almost eight times the limit.

John Kirk is accused of driving a vehicle on a road between the B9124 Gallamuir Road and the A905 Stirling to Airth road on Tuesday (October 24).

The Mossgiel Avenue resident allegedly had 170 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 22 microgrammes.

Kirk appeared from custody at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday and was bailed.

He is due to return to court on December 12.
