Mad for Monopoly

Second print run ordered

- Kaiya Marjoribanks

Shoppers have been snapping up sets of Stirling Monopoly since its launch.

The game has been so popular that Winning Moves UK, makers of the board under licence from Hasbro, ordered another production run and have offered us an additional 10 games for a competition in time for Christmas.

Five lucky readers have already won their own game in our recent competition - Jean Brown, Davidson Street, Whins of Milton; Cath Mackenzie, Springbank Gardens, Dunblane; Sarah Robin, Wishart Drive, Broomridge; Mrs H Reid, Sycamore Place, Stirling; and Mrs A Keany, Riverside Drive, Stirling.

They can collect their prize from the Observer offices from 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday, or call us on (01786) 459417 to make an arrangement.

The launch of the new Stirling game took place at Stirling Castle earlier this month.

The game features the “great and the good” of Stirling, according to Emma Lodwick from Winning

Moves UK. As well as Stirling Castle, the National Wallace Monument and the Robert the Bruce Statue, the Stirling Observer has taken pride of place on the traditional Fleet Street square, often described as the home of journalism. Emma said: “It’s proving hot property in just a fortnight since the game was launched. “Come Christmas Eve, the only games left other than those under the tree will be those on Santa’s sleigh. We are already on a second print run to meet demand.” The game is on sale at retailers across Scotland and online too, including at winningmoves.co.uk.
