Meeting of musical minds

Two of the UK’s foremost folk and jazz artists are bringing a new sound to the Tolbooth next spring.

Scottish fiddler- composer Aidan O’Rourke and harmonium and piano player Kit Downes join forces in the “Introducing 365”tour which showcases new material from Aidan’s forthcoming 365 album series. He has been writing an original tune every day for the past year in response to James Robertson’s collection of daily short stories 365 (Penguin Books).

Kit adds bold harmonisations to Aidan’s trademark lyrical and dynamic fiddle style.

The concert takes place on April 18.
