Phil gets to work the healthy way
Nextbike super-user Phil Westwell has been among those taking full advantage of the scheme.
To mark the third birthday of the initiative some of the top users were presented with some cycling goodies.
Phil has made a total of 750 journeys by Nextbike this year and he spoke about how valuable the scheme has proven to be.
He said:“I commute from Edinburgh to my job at Stirling Castle Business Park. There isn’t much space on trains for bikes and if the bike spaces are full you can’t board the train, or you have to stand with your bike the whole journey.
“With a Nextbike subscription, I’m able to leave my own bike at Edinburgh station, travel in comfort and then finish the last two miles of my journey by rental bike.
“It works really well and as it’s my main aerobic exercise of the day, it has made a big contribution to my health.”
