Hospital buses boosted

Extra journeys

- Robert Fairnie

Changes to a number of Stirling area bus services will come into force as of next week.

Bus operator Midland Bluebird Limited have announced alterations to Service 38 to “improve reliability” and provide additional journeys to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

This is said to be in order to meet shift changes times.

There will also be revised timetabling on the Stirling and Alloa Circular services 62 and 63 and an additional morning journey plus new evening and Sunday departure times on the University of Stirling UniLink service.

Along with the changes to services, the operator has also announced new ticket offers – including a £3 child day ticket on services 60/62/63, adult day tickets from Denny to Stirling Goosecroft and an adult day ticket from Denny to the University of Stirling.

The alterations, which will come into effect on Monday (November 6), have come about as a result of feedback from customers.

Managing director Andrew Jarvis said: “We’re pleased to be making these positive changes and to be providing an enhanced service for the Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

“These changes build on improvements we have already made to services in the Stirling area, including previous boosts to our university services.

“We’re also delighted to be announcing these new special offer tickets on some of our key services.”
