Riverside hitbya lategoal stunner

-

A controversial late goal gave FVFDA League leaders Cumbernauld Colts an 3-2 undeserved win over Riverside Athletic Under 17s on Saturday. Riverside took the lead in 15 minutes when Jordan White set up Kobe Furzer to score. Colts equalised before the break when a speculative punt caught the home defence sleeping. Top scorer Adam Sharp was introduced to the game and on 75 minutes he had an immediate impact when he flicked the ball to Harry Thomson on the right who swung in a tremendous cross when a defender knocked it past his own keeper. However, Colts took advantage with another long ball which led to an undeserved equaliser. Shocked by this Riverside tried to press for the winner but following another Colts breakaway, the ball found itself to their forward who looked at least two yards offside. The referee, however, allowed the play to continue and Colts snatched an underserved win. The GDWM man of the match goes to Kobe Furzer for his endless running and grabbing a fine goal.
