Youth film festival is set to hit the big screen

-

One of the world’s biggest youth film festivals will get underway in the Stirling area next week.

Young people aged five to 19 are being given the chance to attend a number of special free screenings at the Macrobert Arts Centre and the Vue cinema when the Into Film Festival comes to town.

Events will be running from Wednesday November 8 to Friday November 24.

Cartoons, classics and current blockbusters are among the films on offer, with schools, colleges and youth leaders invited to get involved.

Animation Wallace and Gromit – The Curse of the Were Rabbit, ‘90s drama Ratcatcher, and J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them are among the movies featured.

There will be more than 280 free events taking place at venues across the country as part of the festival – and organisers hope it will give young people the chance to take in some classics and hidden gems, with issues such as war and the environment among those tackled.
