Open day for wannabe stars

- Musical theatre

Scotland’s centre of excellence for dance and musical theatre is holding an open day on Saturday, November 4.

The Dance School of Scotland, at Knightswood Secondary in Glasgow, is the country’s only fully-funded school for vocational dance and musical theatre training, receiving funding from Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council, ensuring free tuition is available for talented youngsters from all over Scotland. The school provides more than 15 hours of specialist training per week alongside a full academic curriculum.

Pupils can enter the dance course from S1 to S5 and for those keen in musical theatre, there are entry points at S3 (preparatory theatre course) and S5 (musical theatre course). Entry by audition only.

Details about the musical theatre course will commence at 10am and the dance course at 2pm. At both events, there will be a short presentation, the opportunity to view the facilities, watch classes and meet staff and pupils. No booking is necessary.
