The parade will leave the church on Sunday, November 12 at 11.45am led by the Clackmannan Brass Band. Christmas fayre Alva Community Council is hosting a Christmas fayre in the Cochrane Hall on Saturday, November 18 at 12.30pm featuring an array of stalls selling gifts and crafts from local groups and businesses. Entry is free. There will be festive music by The Christmas Jazz Quartet, singing by Alva Brownies, face painting, tombola, lucky dip, etc, and a refreshment area serving hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes. Murrayfield UF Church Remembrance Sunday service at normal time plus a short service at the cenotaph at the Cross. Gift Day realised £3500; thanks to all who contributed. Parish Church Remembrance service on Sunday begins at 10.50am and will be conducted by Rev. Dan Harper. Sunday school meets as usual and there will be a creche.
