-

Train passengers will have to check their journey times after ScotRail announced the latest changes to its timetable.

The rail firm launches its new timetable on Sunday (December 10), with a number of changes to train times and services.

The changes follow a review of the performance of trains along each route.

The rail operator has set up a dedicated webpage with further information on the changes.

Service between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling, Dunblane and Alloa will continue to be affected by improvement works on the route.

From Sunday to Thursday evenings after 9pm, buses will continue to replace trains between Croy and Stirling, Dunblane and Alloa.

Improvement works will also continue between Edinburgh Waverley and Dunblane and Perth – via Stirling. As before, trains will operate between Edinburgh and Polmont only and buses will replace trains between Polmont, Dunblane and Perth.

ScotRail head of customer experience, Graham Heald, said:“As we continue with our plan to build the best railway Scotland has ever had, we’ve made some changes to our timetable.

“We encourage customers to check their journey through our mobile app or website as some services will now leave earlier or later than they currently do.”
