Gin firm wins train contract

A family-run gin firm has sealed a five-figure deal to have their product stocked on train services throughout the country .

Stirling Gin are set to become the sole craft gin brand served by ScotRail – supplying the rail giant with 1000 of their miniatures each month.

The business, owned by husband and wife team Cameron and June McCann, is set to open a new distillery in the shadow of Stirling Castle next spring.

Cameron said: “It’s a real honour for a young business like Stirling Gin to have our product on the 44 different ScotRail trolley services that criss-cross Scotland, and also span the border into England.”

“We are excited about the prospect of our distinctiv­e blend, which has as its key botanical the wild Stirlingsh­ire nettle, reaching a whole new cross-section of gin lovers.”
