Fun for all the family at Macrobert in 2018
The Macrobert Arts Centre boasts a packed programme of entertainment suitable for all the family in the coming months.
There will be comedy, entertainment, exhibitions, music and theatre – with plenty of opportunities for all ages to get involved. As we enter 2018 those at the venue have been keen to issue a reminder of all they have to offer this year.
There will be music, classical dance and fiery drama when Ballet West return on January 26 and 27.
Ae Fond Kiss – a celebration of Robert Burns – will take place on Saturday, February 10, and Alan Bissett brings More Moira Monologues, starring Falkirk’s hardest woman, to the venue on Thursday February 15.
Velvet Evening Séance is a tale of magic, crime and human fragility, and will entertain audiences on Wednesday, February 28, while International Women’s Day will be celebrated on Thursday March 1 with Bonnie Fetchers featuring songs and stories of courage, love and inventiveness.
There will be comedy from Craig Hill, and his new show Someone’s Gonna Get Kilt on February 16, Jay Lafferty with Besom on April 19 and Ed Byrne will bring his performance Spoiler Alert to town on June 1.
For younger audiences and their families there will be a Little Red Riding Hood musical show on Saturday February 10. Grandad and Me on April 14 will provide the chance to explore the treasures of memory and imagination and Funbox: Dinosaur Safari will see some stone-age singalong silliness on April 21 and 22.
There are also opportunities to get involved with the Macrobert Youth Theatre, Leaps and Beats, Film Crew and Graphic Art Sessions for young people, while there will be Adult Dance, Keep Dancing and MAC Drama for adults.
