Panto one of best ever produced

Villagers were last week treated to a special panto’ performanc­e .

Killin Drama Club presented Beauty and the Beast at three sold-out performanc­es at the McLaren Hall on January 18, 19 and 20.

For the cast, mostly drawn from the Killin area, it was on with the show despite the Arctic weather conditions which made travel difficult.

Some of the villagers seasoned panto’ observers believed the production was one of the best ever , and director Gordon Hibbert thanked all the cast and backroom staff for their massive commitment to the show.

There was a special word of thanks to Sammy Hibbert for her work with the children’s dance routines.

The cast included; Chaz Kemp as Felix; Colin Hay as Jacques; Sammy Hibbert as Capucine; Alex Tigwell as Malabelle; Karen Lafferty as Ma; Vicky Paul as Beauty; Lee Douglas as Prince Cristophe; Susan Fraser as Talking Clock; Louise Campbell as Aimee; Alex Effinger as Remy; Hazel Lafferty as Table; Annie Chisholm as Lamp; Glenda Mardon as Wardrobe; Sorcha McGroarty as Candlestic­k; and Kay Dowling as understudy.

The supporting chorus included; Keira Campbell; Caitlin Chisholm; Brodi Douglas; James Elliot; Fergus Finlay; Innes Finlay; Eilidh Fleming; Naomi Grant; Seonag Hay; Jai Johnstone; Eilidh Kemp; Iona Lafferty; Brooke McGroarty; Nyah McGroarty; Fred Murray; Andrew Noble; Becca Noble; Caitlin Paterson; Stacey Riddell; Sam Rosendale; Anna Stitt; and Kaci White.
