Meet final six vying for crown

-

The votes have been flooding in and we can now reveal the final six in our Pet Idol 2018 contest.

We initially planned to announce five finalists in today’s edition of the Stirling Observer, but as three prized pets were tied in fourth place we were forced to increase the shortlist to six.

Boab, Haggis, Arthur, Bella, Fergie and Dusty are the pets who have received most votes and will be battling it out to be crowned champion.

And it’s incredibly close at the top – with everything still to play, or vote, for.

The competition has been running since the start of the year with more than 700 people sending in pictures of their treasured companions, but we are now entering the final 14 days.

The winner will be announced in our June 13 edition of the Stirling Observer – with voting closing at 5pm on Monday, June 11.

To vote for your favourite pet all you need to do is fill in the coupon, cut it out and either bring it to our office or post it to 34 Upper Craigs, Stirling, FK8 2DW.

Even if you have already voted you can do so again – and as many more times as you wish.

The winning pet will enter the prestigious Stirling Observer Pet Idol hall of fame, winning a bag filled with £50 worth of pet treats from the Morrisons supermarket at Springkerse Road.

There will also be a mystery prize for the owner of the winning pet. Each runner-up will get £25 worth of treats.

Usual Reach terms and conditions apply.
