The Young@Heart ladies’ group meets today (Wednesday) at 2pm in the small

Whyler Photos hall. The speaker will be Mrs Claire Herbert, probatione­r deacon. Today (Wednesday) from 6.30-7.30pm the Super Group meets in the large hall. The Holiday Club team meets tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm in the session room for the last meeting before the club starts on July 2. The Presbytery Prayer Promoters meet in the side aisle of the church on Saturday, June 2, from 10am-noon. A volunteer appreciati­on event with the Year of Young People in mind is being organised for Saturday, June 2, from 5.30-7pm. A pot luck supper will be offered. Parant is Paiste Gaelic parent and child group for children up to age five meets on Mondays from 10am-noon in Riverside Primary School. £1.50 (includes snack). Call 07805 704884. Councillor’s surgery Councillor Jim Thomson will be in the Riverbank Centre tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm. Bowling Club Coaching classes every Wednesday from 7pm. Social bowls every Tuesday from 2pm. On Saturday the club is hosting the semifinals of the Scottish Ladies competitio­n, starting at 10am. On Sunday the gents are playing Spittalmyr­e at the Spittalmyr­e green for the Weir Cup, starts at 2pm.

St Ninians Old Parish Church There will be an organ recital in the church on Friday at 7.30pm. There will be a soup and sandwich lunch in the parish halls on Saturday, June 2, from noon-1.30pm. Service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by Rev Gary McIntyre. There will be a creche and the Sunday Club will meet. St Ninians Community Church On Friday Re:fresh cafe is open from 11am to 12.45pm. Sunday service will take place at 10.30am. Both held in The Mayfield Centre. Civil Defence Club Two sessions of bingo every Wednesday and Sunday. Eyes down 8pm. Also entertainm­ent on Saturday by Billy Jay plus bingo. The club can be hired for free on Fridays. St Ninians UF Church On Sunday the service at 11am will be conducted by Rev Martin Keane. Children’s activities will take place at the same time. Evening service at 7pm will be conducted by Mr Keane.
