Sum­mer fo­cus at lat­est mar­ket

Stir­ling Farm­ers’ Mar­ket is back again in Port Street on Satur­day, July 14 from 10 am-4pm with an­other bumper mar­ket of 27 stall hold­ers.

The fo­cus is all about sum­mer with a great se­lec­tion of the fresh­est foods for bar­be­cues and al fresco eat­ing.

Highland beef and veni­son burg­ers, sausages and high wel­fare veal will all be on of­fer along­side hand­made cakes, scones, pas­tries and breads.

Res­i­dent cheese­mon­gers Ar­ran Cheese and Strat­hearn Cheese are on hand to ad­vise on the tasti­est cheeses to round off your meal while Dal­ran­noch Brew­ery are back from the Scot­tish Beer Awards hav­ing be­come fi­nal­ists in two cat­e­gories – Break­through Brew­ery and Best Amber Ale.

Fruit wines and gins, olives and fudge, free range hens’ and ducks’ eggs are also on of­fer on Satur­day with gift ideas in­clud­ing Planet Soap, jew­ellery and hand­made baby knits.

The Wood­land Trust and RSPB are both at the mar­ket this month to give in­for­ma­tion to ev­ery­one on how to help na­ture.
