Summer focus at latest market
Stirling Farmers’ Market is back again in Port Street on Saturday, July 14 from 10 am-4pm with another bumper market of 27 stall holders.
The focus is all about summer with a great selection of the freshest foods for barbecues and al fresco eating.
Highland beef and venison burgers, sausages and high welfare veal will all be on offer alongside handmade cakes, scones, pastries and breads.
Resident cheesemongers Arran Cheese and Strathearn Cheese are on hand to advise on the tastiest cheeses to round off your meal while Dalrannoch Brewery are back from the Scottish Beer Awards having become finalists in two categories – Breakthrough Brewery and Best Amber Ale.
Fruit wines and gins, olives and fudge, free range hens’ and ducks’ eggs are also on offer on Saturday with gift ideas including Planet Soap, jewellery and handmade baby knits.
The Woodland Trust and RSPB are both at the market this month to give information to everyone on how to help nature.
